Silver Gull Creek host Marion Smart- Funeral and Wake

by Terry Baker on 25 Jul 2014 The cruising fraternity was deeply saddened to hear of the recent passing of Kimberley legend Marion Smart from Silver Gull Creek after a long battle with cancer. Whether to enjoy Phil’s home brew, purchase some jewellery, take a dip in the famous water tank pool overlooking Koolan Island or simply have a chat, Phil and Marion welcomed thousands of passing sailors into their ‘residence’ at Silver Gull Creek.

Phil and many of the cruising fraternity and friends are heading south to attend Marion's service at 11am at the Fremantle Cemetery Crematorium on the eighth of August 2014. The service will be followed by a 'Wake' in the bar at Fremantle Sailing Club. Both the funeral and wake will be open to all of those that knew Marion.
