Prize winners celebrating at the Sigma Associations annual dinner Paul Fenner
Sigma 38's update.

With a total of 31 trophies and prizes awarded at this year’s 22nd annual dinner and a 2011 programme jam packed with even more sea miles than ever, the Sigma 38 Association is claiming a new record for being the most active one design cruiser/ racer class in the Europe.

Some 140 members attending the dinner at the Solent Spa Hotel on Saturday 29th January heard Chairman Nigel Goodhew, announce that the class had been selected to represent the best in British one design at the prestigious Royal Corinthian Vice Admiral’s Regatta in May 2011, with only Farr 45’s and Quarter Tonners also chosen to participate.

In addition, he reported that Sigma 38’s already had one of the highest class entries for the Rolex Fastnet Race this August – a testament to the build quality of these David Thomas designed evergreen cruiser/racers, first launched in the mid 1980’s. website
