Semaine Olympique Francaise de Voile, the 44th French World Cup Regatta, was staged in Hyeres and hosted all three Paralympic classes as well as the Olympic. Britain's Helena Lucas, sponsored by Charles Russell LLP, sailed into win a silver medal in the 2.4mR event.

Lucas mastered the gruelling conditions all week to finish ahead of Thierry Schmitter (NED) and see off competition from British teammate Megan Pascoe. Helena’s top performance adds a second World Cup silver to the silver she won at the Palma event earlier this month.

Lucas was happy with her performance amid the testing conditions last week; 'The first two days we had pretty big breeze and I was going really quick, and really quick downwind so that was encouraging to know I’ve got the speed now in all conditions. It’s good to know and is like a little secret weapon to have in the armoury! I would like to thank Charles Russell LLP for supporting me for this event and I am looking forward to continuing to work with them towards another podium finish at the Delta Lloyd and then Skandia Sail for Gold. A top-three finish would be great and would put me in really good stead hopefully for selection and then going into the Paralympics. If you can keep popping them in the top three then that all bodes well for the real thing.'

Charles Russell LLP, Sports Law Specialists, teamed up with Helena back in 2008 to make a highly successful partnership in the run up to the Beijing Games. Since then they have made a strong team and have been able to assist Helena with support needed to ensure she maintains her competitive edge. The Sports Group has an in depth knowledge of the sporting world acting for sponsors, professional sports clubs, governing bodies and associations as well as sports stars and broadcasters. Charles Russell and Helena are now both looking forward to working together on her 2.4 Metre Campaign for London Semaine Olympique Francaise website
