CYCA Commodore Howard Piggott wins inaugural Queensland Season of Sailing Cup.
It happens when owners run multiple boats. Matt Allen runs multiple Ichi Bans and Peter Harburg runs multiple Black Jacks.
The 2013 Queensland Season of Sailing database showed that Black Jack owned by Peter Harburg was the winner of the 2013 event, winning on a count back from Howard Piggott´s Flying Cloud..
But there are two boats that Peter Harburg owns with the name of Black Jack and the points had been accumulated by two boats and scored as one, so that was a whoops moment.
The 2013 winner is in fact, is CYCA Commodore Howard Piggott who campaigns a Beneteau First 40 Flying Cloud.
Denis Thompson said 'The problem was with two boats the same name owned by the same person, this became somewhat confused over the six events of the Season of Sailing Cup.'
