SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week Day 4.
After three strong wind days the gradient winds are easing today, providing relief for a lot of tired bodies.
The forecast is for 14-16 knots winds from the south east across the day.
The F18s will be racing windward-leewards on Cleveland Bay starting at 10am. By that time the wind is expected to be around 12 knots.
The IRC and Performance Racing Divisions will be racing windward-leewards in Cleveland Bay.
The Cruising I and Multihulls divisions have been set the Bay Rock Northern Race, 24.3 nautical miles from the start off Nelly Bay, around the picturesque Magnetic Island coastline past Orchard Rocks and Horseshoe Bay to Bay Rock and return.
Cruising 2 and Non-spinnaker have been set the 15.1 nautical mile White Rock Race, following a similar scenic course to the other divisions.
All fleets are scheduled to start at 11.00am.
At White Rock the breeze is currently blowing off the land at 10 knots from the south east.
