A second win for the British trio of Sarah Ayton, Sarah Webb and Pippa Wilson in the Yngling World Championships - taking place in Miami, Florida - opened a 13 point lead with seven races completed. The New Zealand crew of Sharon Ferris, Raynor Smeal and Olivia Powrie turned around a form slide to place second in the seventh race, with Silja Lehtinen, Maria Klemetz and Livia Varesmaa of Finland taking third.

Overall the German crew skippered by Ulrike Schuemann is in second place and the Australian crew led by Krystal weir in third place, having been second overnight. There are ten races in the series with the medal race scheduled for Friday.

The steady improvement of Shirley Robertson came to an abrupt halt with an eleventh place finish, to be tenth overall with a Medal race place beckoning.
