Entries for the Sail for Gold Regatta 2014 are set to close on Friday 23 May, however sailors can still take advantage of the extended ‘early entry fee’ discount which is available to those who submit their entries before 1700 (BST) on Monday 5 May.

The third instalment of the 2014 EUROSAF Champions Sailing Cup will take place between 2-6 June at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, the venue used for London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic sailing competitions.

Now in its second year, the EUROSAF Series is based on established regattas within Europe and provides the best possible competition for Olympic and Paralympic classes, complementing the ISAF World Cup series and Class Championships.

Garda Trentino Olympic Week, Italy (7-11 May) will open the 2014 Series before sailors head to the Delta Lloyd Regatta, Netherlands (20-24 May) a week later. WPNSA will then be the next destination and will welcome eight Olympic and three Paralympic classes to compete across five course areas in Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour, before competitors head to Kiel, Germany (21-25 June) for the final leg of what is set to be a fantastic summer of sailing.

Pete Allam, Sail for Gold Event Director, commented: 'We are very much looking forward to hosting the Sail for Gold Regatta at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy in just over a month’s time. The event, which has been held annually since 2006, has built up a reputation of providing competitors with World Class race management and access to excellent facilities at WPNSA.

'We look forward to welcoming back some familiar faces from the Olympic and Paralympic Games and last year’s Sail for Gold Regatta as well as some fresh faces who are new to the Olympic circuit. I would urge sailors to make the most of the extended early entry fee discount which closes Monday (5 May).'

The regatta will once again be teaming up with SailRacer and Danish company SportsXstream to provide live video from the racecourses and GPS tracking solutions across the Sail for Gold fleets in order to enhance the online experience for sailors, coaches and fans alike.

After 1700 (BST) a late entry fee will apply so visit www.sailforgold.co.uk and complete your online entry today! All other online entries must be received no later than Friday 23 May 2014.
