Sail Noumea 2012- Step aboard V5's for the 2012 Noumea Race - Video

Join David Nathan and the crew of the TP52, V5 for the 2012 Auckland to Noumea Race.

V5 was the first monohull into Noumea, after experiencing lights winds for the first day or so, then switching to 30-40kt head winds, with a fast ride into Noumea for the final day.

Along the way they broke four crew-filled bunks, as they crashed off big seas, and had to overcome a lack of cooking gas - essential to boil water for the freeze-dried food. Fortunately they had a near endless supply of chocolate bars.
