S80 Series Skandia Geelong Week

by Traci Ayris / Skandia media on 26 Jan 2009
The Swarbrick S80 is a versatile racer/cruiser - at 8m long and 2.7m wide, it was designed by Kim Swarbrick to provide high performance racing for inshore and limited offshore events and versatility as well as bay cruising.

At Skandia Geelong Week the S80 series comprised four windward/leeward races and the Williamstown to Geelong Passage Race.

Local skipper David Collins from the Royal Geelong Yacht Club won both the passage race and the overall series with three wins out of five races for Flying Circus.

Keith Chatto from RMYS was second on Mood Indigo, four points behind Collins and narrowly ahead of Anthony Beck’s Escape.
