Inaugurated in 1987 to celebrate the 60th birthday of His Majesty the King of Thailand, the event has been held every year since, during the first week of December. The series of post-race parties is a key element of the excitement and attraction of the Phuket King’s Cup Regatta. Sailors come from all corners of the globe to take part in close racing, majestic sea conditions and to enjoy the evening social scene – hallmarks of the legendary Phuket King’s Cup Regatta.
