One of the world's leading yacht clubs, the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron is adopting a new structure within its Sailing department and as such two new roles have been created and a recruitment process begun.
The club, which has won two America's Cups and indeed all the major world yacht races, has created two new roles - Sailing Director and Sailing Co-ordinator. The latter role is mostly an off the water one gearing around sailing sailing administration and organisation.
In addition to running a full racing program of inshore and offshore races, the RNZYS runs the Lion Foundation Youth Program, regarded as the preeminent youth and sailing program in the world, which takes young sailors and over a two or three year program has produced to America's Cup sailors, Volvo Ocean Race crews and World Match Racing Champions.
The RNZYS programs are well established, well supported by the marine industry and community, and attract the top sailing talent.
