Rolex Sydney Hobart - Wild Oats XI forced to retire as front hits

Bob Oatley's supermaxi yacht, Wild Oats XI, has been forced to retire from the Rolex Sydney Hobart Race with a torn mainsail.
Early reports indicate that the sail tore in half when the yacht was hit by a 40 knot squall that accompanied a southerly change off the NSW south coast.
The yacht is returning to Sydney. All crew are safe.
This leaves Jim and Kirsty Clark's Comanche well in the lead ahead of Rambler 88 and Ragamuffin
