The Sunshine Coast Ocean Regatta (S.C.O.R) has continued on day three and four with milder conditions than earlier in the week.

Wednesday 6th August brought a lay day, however many competitors were kept busy making repairs to their vessels after some tough conditions. Lightwave Raider, the catamaran which unfortunately capsized on Monday, has been successfully towed into the Mooloolaba marina where repairs are underway.

The rest of the fleet participated in the Sunshine Coast Yacht Club Wednesday Members Race. Conditions were lighter with the 20 knot southerly winds easing in the afternoon to 10 to 15 kts. Today's race was the last for the SCYC Wednesday Winter Series. The winner of the Wednesday Winter series was SCYC Commodore Ian Brownhill on his yacht Jade Rose, second place was David Hopkins on Perception and third was Peter Smith on Bling.

On Thursday 7th August, competitors in SCOR 2014 enjoyed great Windward/Leeward races sponsored by Norths Sails. It was great to see many boats in the fleet and some of the winners of the day carrying North Sails. Thursday brought milder conditions with South-Westerly winds averaging 11 kts turning to Easterly winds in the afternoon.

Norths Sails very generously provided prizes to the winners of Race 3 and Race 4 which were as follows:

Race 3:
1st Place Kerry and Rick Teed on Finnisterre
2nd Place Ian Brownhill on Jade Rose
3rd Place Dennis Dean on Too Cool

Race 4:
1st Place Dennis Dean on Too Cool
2nd Place Kerry and Rick Teed on Finnisterre
3rd Place David Hopkins on Perception

Overall leaders at the end of Race 4 are as follows:
1st Place Ian Brownhill on Jade Rose
2nd Place David Hopkins on Perception
3rd Place Dennis Dean on Too Cool

S.C.O.R. competitors will be back on the water on Friday with the Windward/Leeward races and a final Bay race. Presentations to the winners of S.C.O.R. will be held at The Yacht Club, Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba at a function on Friday evening.
