Cruising sailors - whether chartering or sailing your own boat - who are to be in Turkish cruising waters at the end of the cruising season this year may be interested in joining some fun events out of Marmaris.

The Marmaris International Race Week (MIRW) 23rd edition is being held in the beautiful gulf of Marmaris from 27th October to 2nd November 2012.

More than 140 boats competed last year and the number is expected to be even higher this year.

Yes, there will be some high level racing, but of the eight divisions, four of them are for fun-minded cruising boats where no-one is too concerned about who gets the right lift at the right time.

One of the biggest fleets in charter boats gives the opportunity to people of all ages and skills to have the thrill of some inshore and coastal sailing in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Turkish coastline.

During the days of the event many other side activities are organized, live music, costume contest and many more take part, at the very well organized facilities, and the fun continues after races during the night.

Every year more and more participations from different countries are entering the event, making it a truly international one with more than 15 countries represented last year.

Be part of the exciting and fun event.
