ISAF Sailing World Championships 2011 is the biggest sailing event to be held in Perth since the 1987 America's Cup Defence.
Round the world sailor Jessica Watson will visit Endeavour, the replica of Captain James Cook’s ship, at her berth at Riverside Centre Marina, in Brisbane, at 1100 am, Friday 29 April, to speak with groups of school children. Jessica Watson is visiting Endeavour as an Ambassador for the Perth 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships being held in Western Australia this December, with 1400 Olympic class sailors competing from 80 nations.
In talking to young school children visiting Endeavour, Jessica is promoting both the Perth 2011 Sailing World Championships and the Olympic sport of sailing.
Endeavour will be a centre-piece of the World Championships during her visit to Fremantle in December. The ship left Sydney on 16 April at the start of her first circumnavigation of
