by Gerald New on 11 May 2008
Light winds delayed the start of day 1 of the 49er and 470 Open Meeting Saturday at HISC.

When the fleets were finally released to race three races were completed in Hayling Bay for both classes.

Leaders in the 49er are Stevie Morrison and Ben Rhodes, with John Pink and Rick Peacock in second and Dave Evans and Simon Hiscocks third.

In the 470 event, Nick Rogers and Joe Glanfield lead from Hannah Mills and Katrina Hughes with Christina Bassadone and Saskia Clark in third place. Racing continues Sunday.
