Oil spill exercise for Lord Howe Island postponed.

Due to poor weather conditions on Lord Howe Island, the oil spill response exercise due to be held on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 September 2011 has been postponed.

The exercise was aimed at enhancing the ability of the island’s residents to respond to oil spills including testing local equipment and procedures.

The exercise will be rescheduled for a later date, to be advised when scheduled. NSW Maritime website
