Forgacs Offshore Etchells Regatta - A high calibre fleet of 11-20 Etchells is expected to line up for the nine race regatta to be run off Newcastle over the October long weekend.

With local heavyweights including Gary Boyd, Mark Langford and former world champion Peter McNeill entered racing should be hotly contested. Also making the trip to Newcastle are boats from Victoria, Sydney and potentially Airlie Beach in Queensland!

Experienced PRO Tony Outteridge will lead the race team. Free hardstand, crane and berthing facilities provided by Forgacs Ship Building and the normal NCYC off-water hospitality should make for an enjoyable weekend of racing and a great preparation event for the 2012 World Championships to be held off Sydney Heads.
