Sailing in Australia just keeps getting better...
The third Australian leg of the Clipper Round the World series is just ending. Switzerland claimed its first win and podium position of the Clipper 2013-14 Race.

Extreme Sailing Series - The world tour will celebrate its eighth year on the international sailing calendar with eight iconic Host Venues spanning three continents, over eleven months and nine elite level teams representing seven nations, who will compete to win the coveted Extreme Sailing Series trophy.
Australia will be one of the teams and one of the venues, more news below and later in the week.

Tasmania continue to surprise on the sailing scene and the Taswegians on the Farr 40 Voodoo Chile are two up in the 2013-14 season and are aiming to maintain their class-beating form for the Aberdeen Asset Management Farr 40 NSW State Title on Sydney Harbour this coming weekend, January 10-12, 2014.
Breathing down the necks of Lloyd Clark and Andrew Hunn's Tasmanian crew is Guido Belgiorno-Nettis' Sydney based Transfusion, runner up to Voodoo Chile at both the opening QLD states and the One Design Trophy out of Middle Harbour Yacht Club last November.

The last day of the 2014 Australian Youth Championships tomorrow at the Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron and Sorrento Sailing Couta Boat Club and the Australian team for the next Youth Worlds will be announced.
