Expo wraps to rapt exhibitors, SCIBS bookings rush, gadgets & gear
The heat and heady boating atmosphere at the third annual Gold Coast International Marine Expo drew the crowds in record numbers over the weekend, drawn by the array of entertainment, fascinating behind the scenes insight into the working shipyards, great boat bargains and diverse displays.

Organisers report more than 200 exhibitors, over 600 boats on show on land and water, and an expanded 3km exhibitor display circuit, welcomed 21, 326 visitors through the gates from around Australia and New Zealand.
'It's worth its weight in gold, especially at this time of year,' said one of the founders of the event, Dean Leigh-Smith from Gold Coast City Marina and Leigh-Smith Cruiser Sales. 'The vibe was great, exhibitors were happy. What's not to love!'

Exhibitors' sights are now set on 2014, and the 26th Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, accepting exhibitor bookings via the comprehensive and revamped online portal, with all the information and site innovations in one place.
In other boat show news, Yacht & Boat Korea are inviting exhibitors to capitalise on that nation's growing interest in the boating lifestyle, joining the 90 or so currently booked for this year's event, Thursday 28 November through Sunday 1 December. Yacht & Boat Korea will be held at the Changwon Exhibition and Convention Centre, in Gyeongsangnam Province, South Korea.

Organisers are confident of achieving the goal of 150 exhibitors from 20 countries and presenting a show of international standard showcasing the recreational marine lifestyle and associated activities.

One of the most popular attractions at the recent Fort Lauderdale Boat Show was the Seabob - part jet-ski and part bodyboard.

There were lots of toys and amphibious vehicles on show, but the Seabob has to be one of the most versatile, portable and fun! Check out the video and then beg Santa for one!
Lots of other (more practical) new products, innovations and launches in time for southern summer.
