Canadians racing in Florida and other news!
 | | RS:X World Windsurfing Championships 2013 Vincenzo Baglione | Following the Miami ISAF World Cup event in January, Sail Canada has announced the 2013 Canadian Sailing Team line-up. Many team members racers are already busy this winter as the RS:X sailing team are enjoying fabulous conditions in Brazil for the World Championship this week; Laser racers were in Clearwater, Fl for the Midwinters earlier in February.

Also on the racecourse this week, Canadian Star and Viper 640 racers will join a growing fleet of Canadian flagged Melges 20 at the Bacardi Miami Sailing Week. A number of fresh J/70's will also take part in their first South Florida regatta.
Extreme Sailing Series Act 1 is set to go tomorrow in Muscat; eight exciting Extreme 40 catamarans will race stadium format in Oman, home turf of the 2012 defending champions The Wave, Muscat.

In the Caribbean, the 2013 St. Maarten Heineken Regatta has wrapped up another successful event; regatta organizer and scorer Paul Miller commented: 'The sparkling turquoise waters made for champagne sailing.' This one is the bucket list for next year!

Lucky Kiwi spectators have gotten a first taste of America's Cup racing down under; Emirates team New Zealand and Luna Rossa have been spotted racing each other in Hauraki Gulf. Check out Chris Cameron's images below!
Finally, the Volvo Ocean race is announcing more stop overs for the 2014-15 round the world event; Lisbon, Portugal will be back on the route for the 12th edition of the race.
