The Rolex Sydney-Hobart Race chases out the old year and rings in the new. All the news and updates here, from Grant Wharington's disqualification to Wild Oats's record-breaking run (so far). And lots of good pics too.
In Asia, the end of the boating year is signalled by the Asia Superyacht Rendezvous, a splendiferous affair held this year at Angsara Laguna and the Xana Beach Club, Phuket. Not everyone is in the market for a £70m 188 ft ketch, but you have to admit, they look pretty damn good!
Lead swapping in the Vendee Globe - that's got to be hard - but the two leaders are still out in front. Bernard Stamm has holed up for repairs. It's a tough game, but my armchair is very comfy!
