Currently, skipper Leigh McMillan and his The Wave, Muscat team are sitting in pole position after seven races that were contested in a strong breeze and big swells. 'We have had a good start but we need to not get carried away with today's results,' said a cautious McMillan. 'We have lot of races still to go in Porto including offshore racing and racing in this very small confined harbor here in Porto, so it is going to be very exciting but there are a lot of challenges. I think we can expect lots of action.' Conditions are expected to remain boisterous in Porto, so be sure to stay current with the website as news unfurls.
And speaking of big waves, fast boats and torrents of spray, don't miss the sizzle reel of iconic moments from this year's Volvo Ocean Race.
