Jeni Bone | As you read this, I am flying north to Taiwan's boat building region, Kaohsiung for a factory inspection and launch of the 2014 Taiwan Boat Show. This week we have the update on the marine industry-funded campaign to highlight the impact of Commonwealth Marine Parks on jobs and recreational anglers, scientists' responses, a review of the Mackay Marine Festival last weekend, preview of the Melbourne Boat Show starting 5 July, and many more pieces of interesting industry news and insight.
Meanwhile action is happening on the Queensland Gold Coasts Broadwater. By the end of July, within the LNP government's '100 days' commitment for planning it made to the people of Queensland, those composing the Broadwater Management Authority will be named. We will be vocal on this subject, you can be sure.
It's also just one month until the London Olympic Games - and our medal hopes in Sailing are sky high. It's not too late to book your advertising in the 140,000 dedicated newsletters each day of the Games - overall a record total 3.5 million event newsletters. These will be regionalised so advertisers will get best possible exposure in their own markets.
Following the Olympics, the Sydney International Boat Show, Sydney Gold Coast, Brisbane to Keppel, Airlie Beach Race Week, Hamilton Island Race Week, Magnetic Island Race Week, Short ocean Racing Regatta, Monsoon Cup, Kings Cup, Rolex Regatta, Sydney to Hobart Race, Sail Sydney, Sail Melbourne, Festival of Sail Geelong, Sydney Harbour Regatta and America's Cup 2013 - millions more reasons to get your advertising online.
