This is a huge year for Australian sailing. The 2012 Olympic sailing regatta starts in Weymouth on Sunday July 29 2012. Australia has a good chance of a record medal haul. AIMEX and Superyacht Australia as the one body are looking forward to the first outcome of the recent ASMEX conference - CEO MaryAnne Edwards attending the invitation-only tourism forum, 'Destination Q', to be held in Cairns at the end of June where she intends to highlight the key issues facing the marine and superyacht sector. This marks a massive leap for marine exporters and the superyacht sector, back on the tourism radar with pledges of support from Tourism chiefs and government ministers.
