Latest sailing news from around the globe

Welcome to this edition of Sail-World.com's Europe newsletter.

The Volvo Ocean Race fleet is slowly, ever so slowly, making its way to Auckland, New Zealand, battling through the Doldrums.

The Global Ocean Race fleet are slowly arriving in Uruguay from New Zealand at the end of a 6,300 mile journey, with two of the Class40 yachts now in Punta del Este.
