Club Marine buoys Awards, Integrity China team at SCIBS, Raymarine MFDWelcome to another week of news and features that comb the marine world for relevant and current issues - plenty to buoy your business nous and pique your interest.
As well as some 'big picture' stories, like the outgoing World Bank president's announcement of the launch of the global oceans alliance to protect our seas and testing imminent on the floodgates of Venice - providing hope for the rest of the world's flood-prone cities - we have news on boat shows new and established, several major product innovations, some great exporter news from AIMEX, an ASMEX update and much more.

Club Marine - the industry's hardest working insurers and sponsorship stalwart behind so many boat shows, events and initiatives - has come onboard again to sponsor this year's Export Awards. Held to coincide with the Sydney International Boat Show August 2-6, this year's program has added two Superyacht Industry award categories recognising the prominence of the superyacht sector to our export industry.
Integrity Motor Yachts will be hosting six senior personnel from its China shipyard during the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show - just one of the international delegations coming to the Gold Coast for the 24th annual SCIBS. Integrity is celebrating the opening of their brand new, state of the art, mega-facility in China, a major investment in the future of the brand.

Raymarine, now part of the giant FLIR empire, has launched a new range of MFDs: two new mid and large format e95 (9'-22.86cm) and e125 (12'-30.46cm) multifunction displays (MFDs) are a further development from the compact e7, the world's first 7' MFD to provide networking with up to six displays plus accessories. Something for boaties of every breed to ogle during the national boat show circuit.
Mid-March, I am looking forward to heading to Auckland for the arrival of the Volvo Ocean Race fleet - the Kiwis know how to throw a party and celebrate yachting in style. No doubt, the Sail-World team will cover the racing, strategy and results with their usual unrivalled analysis, while I will be on hand to delve in to the spectacle, sponsorship and tactics to do with leveraging branding and ROI.

Have a top week!Jeni Bone, editor
