Volvo Ocean Race leg 3 restart and all the latest sailing news

The Volvo Ocean Race Leg 3 part two has commenced with Camper taking the early lead, ahead of Puma and Team Sanya. Franck Cammas and his Groupama 4 crew had a steady start and are currently third as the fleet heads to Sanya, China.

The Miami OCR is fast approaching and for many athletes, this event represents the first highlight of their Olympic year.

We have news from the Global Ocean Race, which recommences January 29 from Wellington, New Zealand to Punta del Este, Uruguay.

Volvo Ocean Race - Puma takes the lead as Camper closes in

The lead in the Volvo Ocean Race has now been taken over by Puma's Mar Mostro. At 1900 UTC, Ken Read and his crew forced early leader Camper into second place, but there is no time for Puma to rest as the entire fleet is separated by only 2.90 nautical miles with Camper just 0.10nm behind them.... Miami OCR - World's best Olympic and Paralympic sailors ready

529 sailors from 41 countries are preparing for tomorrow's racing at the Rolex Miami OCR, being sailed on Biscayne Bay. 'It's going to be a great week here in Miami,' said Dean Brenner, Chairman of the U.S. Olympic Sailing Committee. 50th anniversary Rolex China Sea Race 2012

Fast forward to 2012, and the Rolex China Sea Race is a fully fledged Cat 1 offshore race, which since 1996 has finished in Subic Bay, some 50km north of Corrigedor. Volvo Ocean Race: Full Fleet ready to resume race to Sanya, China

The six-strong Volvo Ocean Race fleet will resume racing from the Maldives on Sunday at 0800 UTC after the five boats being shipped through piracy affected waters in the Indian Ocean safely reconvened with the waiting Team Sanya.
