At the International Association for Disabled Sailing World Championships, held on Charlotte Bay, Florida USA,
SKUD Gold went to Alexandra Rickham and Niki Birrell, John Robertson, Hannah Stodel / Steve Thomas took Bronze in the Sonar class and Helena Lucas finished just outside the medals in fourth place in the 2.4mR class.

The second of seven ISAF Sailing World regattas, the Miami OCR, gets underway in the USA on January 22 and immediately afterwards the 2012 Women's Match Racing International Country Olympic Qualifying Regatta takes place. As Host National of the Olympics, Great Britain has already qualified their team.
The Clipper Round the World Yachts are in 'Stealth Mode' for the cruise section of Race 7 (be sure to catch the latest news on Sail-World.com for a full explanation).
Five of the Volvo Ocean Race yachts are onboard a cargo ship headed for an unloading port in the Indian Ocean to complete the second stage of Leg 3 to the Chinese port of Sanya. Team Sanya, forced to suspend racing after mast problems has battled through the Doldrums and is headed for the safe haven port where they will be reunited with the Volvo Ocean Race fleet.
Dee Caffari is set to skipper an all-woman crew at Sailing Arabia - The Tour 2012 (SATT) next month. Caffari and her Al Thuraya Bank Muscat team, which also includes Mary Elizabeth Rook and Emma Westmacott, are sail training ahead of the regatta.
