Twelve presents to have any boatie a-leaping with joy
Some bright spark reckons the song 12 Days of Christmas has biblical connotations – six geese a-laying refers to the six days of creation, 10 lords a-leaping are the Ten Commandments and so on.
But with only a short time left till Christmas, you're going to have to think about buying a gift for that boating mate or family member who's been good this year.
A nice 'pear' of boating gloves would be a good starter.
Two turtle waxes – one for fibreglass, another for metal will keep the rig lookin' chic.
Three French hens deserve a portable gas stove and/or a rust-resistant pan to whip up an omelets on the go.
For calling birds, and rescue authorities, consider a hand-held VHF radio.
Five golden rings maybe overkill, but a ski tube would be just the ticket.
When a-laying on the beach, think about a sun shelter or umbrella.

When a-swimming there's a water cannon called the Stream Machine, or how about a new set of snorkelling gear?

Nine ladies dancing on a teak deck? I'd like to see that! Get 'em some sneakers at least. And, oh lord, if they a-leap overboard then an inflatable lifejacket will save their bacon.
Having a piping hot shower afterwards is possible with a battery-powered portable shower kit.
Finally, give that boatie the drum on 12-volt appliances by buying a book. It's handy to be able to track electrical problems when away from land.
Have a great one...
