NZ Marine 8% growth, engines cut emissions, Over the Top finish aheadWelcome to another week of global boating and marine business news - plenty of product news, upcoming shows and industry events, as well as a thorough post-show report from Sydney which covers many facets of the market, industry, consumer feedback and exhibitor reports.
Thanks to Barry Jenkins for his tremendous insight into China and their rapacious appetite for marinas - more than 10,000 berths in the pipeline or underway at marinas along the coastline and rivers as that country's economy continues to boom. Barry discusses what China's focus on boating means to the Australian industry - the opportunities and challenges ahead.
The Outboard Engine Distributors Association (OEDA) has released figures that show the engine industry is proactive in reducing emissions across the board, even as the Federal Government continues to consider legislative action.
In NZ, while the Rugby World Cup is in full swing still, the local marine industry is showcasing innovation and excellence at The Cloud exhibition centre, while NZ Marine forecasts phenomenal growth for the country's marine businesses, despite constrictions to the global economy.
