Queensland's 2011 Season of Sailing has drawn to a close with the completion of Sealink Magnetic Island Race Week last night.

Interesting scenes yesterday when the 15 metre catamaran eDoc capsized. As a monohull sailor, boats with exit hatches underneath are always a worry.But skipper Gavin Lesueur was very positive and no harm was done. Bit different to seeing an F18 go over tho'.

All in all a great regatta. If you missed it make sure you are there in 2012.

Doug Kerr to skipper Yachting WA Yachting WA, Doug Kerr last week committed to skipper Yachting WA as President. Doug Kerr nominated to the Board of Management in August 2009. In 1977 Doug gained selection as crew on the America's Cup contender 'Australia' but due to ill health, had to withdraw a day before departure.
