Itinerary for Jessica Watson Sealink Magnetic Island Race Week Thursday September 1st QF 974 Departs 2pm/Arrives 4pm – Brisbane/Townsville (possible 10 min) – for photo and interview at airport, but by prior arrangement only Ferry Townsville to Magnetic 5:20pm (25min) – possible radio interview Sealink Magnetic Island Race Week Welcome 6.30pm-9.00pm (Vision available) but all media welcome Location: Tropical Resort, Nelly Bay Guests: Competitors of the regatta and sponsors Jessica's Participation: Speech welcoming the competitors, speaking about the regatta, Tourism Queensland's Season of Sailing and her experiences. (Broadcast vision upon request) Friday September 2nd EVENT : Breakfast with Jessica Watson on the Strand 6:20am-645 on Ferry from Magnetic Island to Townsville (possible radio interview) 7am-8-30am at Breakfast Location: Picnic Bay Surf Life Saving Club, the Strand, Townsville Guests: Townsville corporate community and local media Jessica's Participation: Speech to the guests, about the regatta, season of sailing and her experiences. The target audience for this breakfast is the Townsville corporate community and local media. Zinc 100.7 FM will have Jessica's speech live to air. Ferry- 9:10am from Townsville to Magnetic Island (vision and radio opps ) 9:15-10am Vision & Photo ops of Jessica with sailors before they leave marina for racing.
