Very sad news overnight with the crash of an ABC helicopter near Lake Ayre and the reported death of Pilot Gary Ticehurst, reporter Paul Lockyer and cameraman John Bean. Gary was well known and much loved in the sailing fraternity. His involvement in the 1998 Hobart rescues was very significant.
