Emirates Team NZ continues to dominate at the America's Cup World series in Cascais. We will have full updates later today on www.sail-world.com.

For the second consecutive day, the Emirates Team NZ earned maximum points, after beating Artemis Racing in a match racing duel for first place.

Probably the surprising aspect of the series to date is the performance of many of the newer teams, who have proved to be more than capable of their task - and can easily mix it with the more established teams, who were expected to enjoy an initial advantage at least - as the newbies got to grips with the wingsailed AC45's.

In this edition of Sail-World we have featured two stories with links to the full replays of the last two days racing, which are good viewing, particularly the first - which is just onboard audio and video coverage. You can have the privilege of sailing a race with Russell Coutts, and then switch boats, and sail with Dean Barker in the same race. Sounds weird, but it works - and is a great insight into how two great America's Cup sailors run their races.

The second day's replay features the new graphics overlaid on live video, that have been a much vaunted part of the 34th America's Cup.

In Weymouth, England the NZL Sailing Team are in action in the Olympic Test Event/Pre-Olympics. Going into the final day, Andrew Murdoch was the best performed of the NZers, holding a two point lead going into the Medal Race in the Mens Singlehander (Laser). We will update on final day's racing on www.sail-world.com

Emirates Team NZ has had a better day in the Extreme 40's sailing in Cowes, after yesterday's racing was blown out. There looked to be a repeat of the same conditions for a second day - however latest reports have it that condition eased, and racing took place - finishing at 7.00pm, with crowds packing the foreshore.

New Zealand wins 50th UK Open Optimist National Championship

The 50th Volvo Gill Optimist National and Open Championship came to a close today (Friday 5th August) after a week of fantastic sailing in a mixture of racing conditions.
