This week, we bring you a preview of a very vital event during the Sydney International Boat Show - the BIA initiative which has attracted 246 students from Years 9 to 12 to hear a panel of industry exponents speak about the options and vast array of careers in recreational boating. New blood with new thinking and new skills are just what we need, particularly with the current challenges and those that lie ahead.
Another proactive initiative ran yesterday in Brisbane under the direction of Marine Queensland. The industry 'crisis forum' aimed to brainstorm some ideas and options options 'to develop a priority action plan to help industry through tough economic times'. Read all about the national 'battle plan' and how you can contribute.
Getting out there and competing with consumer-focused tactics is the only way to ride through the current climate. That's exactly what the Gold Coast Marine Expo is aiming to achieve with its November event, open to all industry.
Hope you find some inspiration in our stories this week.
