From every ocean of the world this week comes a varied smorgasbord of news to fascinate those interested in cruising.

In Cowes on the Isle of Wight there's tell of one of the biggest celebrations of the year for all yachting enthusiasts, Cowes Week Regatta, coming soon; and talking of parties, the biggest Tall Ship gathering and party of the year is about to happen in Waterford, Ireland, better known for its crystal.
Crossing the Atlantic right now sailor James Burwick, better known for his exhausting solo adventures, is attempting another speed record - but this time with his entire family on board, the youngest being nine months.
