You love to hate it but another Record...
Last week we had a Sail-World traffic peak only beaten by the Race 1 and 2 of America's Cup in Valencia in last year. Why??
We get more 'I am over it, I am sick of it' emails about The America's Cup than any other sailing event, BUT it seems that sailors world-wide really just can't get enough America's Cup news.

Our detailed coveraged of a high profile AC45's capsize, Team Yachting Australia out but maybe in... to get those mice clicking. The godfather of America's Cup yachting journalism, Bob Fisher has given the San Francisco venue and the boats a big tick as you will read exclusively on Sail-World today.
Kiel Week is looking good for Australia; it's great to see increasing depth, with Australian Sailing Squad members filling in for Slingsby, Outteridge and Jensen.
This coming weekend Team Whistler takes another tilt at the British Three Peaks Race. We will be following their adventure with interest.
Just had it pointed out to us today that the 2011 Brisbane to Keppel Race could have a bigger monohull fleet
than this year's Brisbane to Gladstone Race that snapped us to attention.
The Gladstone Race is a Queensland icon but in recent years the rise and rise of Keppel, Airlie Beach Race Week and Sunferries Magnetic Island Race Week, along with Hamilton Island Race Week means that the Northern Winter series has grown into a major annual sailing migration.

The Northern waters exert an amazing attraction. It is interesting to consider that the biggest fields of Sportboats in Australia in recent years have been at Meridien Marinas Airlie beach Race Week. If you are towing a trailer, that is a ‘short' 2450km north of Melbourne, a' fast' 1850km north of Sydney and ‘a blink and you will miss it ‘ 1150km north of Brisbane.
If you've not sailed in the North series, text around, call a meeting of the crew and ask WHY NOT???
BTW- if you a regular attendee at boat shows or go infrequently it does not matter, you boat show feedback is very valuable and right now there are 14,000 reasons why you should complete our survey. Do it!!
Have a great week!!
