The action has continued in the NZ Int Yachting Trust's Auckland - Musket Cove, Fiji Race.
As we write it looks like it will be a neck and neck race with the Volvo 70 Camper being in the race with more than a fighting chance against the ORMA60 TeamVodafoneSailing which has launched in the SE Trades
As we noted last night, TVS was 100nm behind, this morning, just 60nm adrift of Camper.
She needs to average around 24kts to take the race win.
In this edition we have twice daily reports using wind predictions and route information from Predictwind. We're hoping that as she nears Musket Cove, that TVS will come within 3G range and we'll start getting images back from the onboard camera.

In Weymouth, England the Skandia Sail for Gold in underway. The event is the sixth round of the ISAF World Sailing Cup, and got underway in light winds, but has had two days of very fresh airs.
The event has attracted a large numbers of sailors keen to get a taste of the venue for the 2012 Olympic Regatta, just over a year out from the Main Event. For several countries the regatta is doubling as one of their two Olympic Trials - putting a real edge into the racing.

We have reports on the second and third day's sailing in this edition and will be updating daily on www.sail-world.com through to the end of the regatta.
New Zealand is lying third overall in terms of country standings in this event, ahead of Australia and USA. Britain dominates, and their worst place overall in the ten Olympic events being sailed at this regatta is a 6th.
