On the news front, America's Super Boat crews are preparing their boats for 2011 and it's already shaping up to be a bumper season following the success of the Key West gala earlier this year.

Still in the US of A, the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) has teamed up with some like-minded groups to form a coalition to fight (and challenge) the Environmental Protection Authority on its approval of E15 fuel.
We'll be hearing a lot more on this.
Colleague Jeni Bone reports on the dangers associated with carbon monoxide fumes aboard powerboats, something all owners MUST be aware of.
I was closely associated with reporting on an incident on Sydney's Pittwater several years ago in which, if I recall correctly, four men died.
The problem stems from inclement weather, when those on board erect storm covers over cockpits, thereby trapping carbon monoxide fumes which, if the cockpit was open would be swept away by the breeze.
It's a potentially fatal accident waiting to happen.
Across the ditch, otherwise known as the Tasman Sea, the New Zealand Boating Industry Association has changed the dates of the Auckland Boat Show to September, meaning it will now coincide with the 2011 Rugby World Cup (in which the Australian Wallabies will defeat the NZ All Blacks?).
With Rugby being more of a religion than a sport in NZ, this is probably a smart move by the industry.
Plenty more to keep you interested, we hope, and we also welcome a new face to the industry with Sydney girl Natalie Walker joining the Boating Industry Association of NSW as its marketing and event coordinator.
So here we are, the final issue for 2010; hard to believe, but what can I say other than look out, 2011, here we come.
