Fountaine Pajot founder, AIMEX member media blitz, Sanctuary Cove newsThis is a major week for news from all sectors of the international marine industry - boat shows, product launches, new personnel, promotions and even prizes to win.
Read the full interview with Sue Thomson, the new GM events and marketing at Sanctuary Cove and a face we will see more of in the lead up to SCIBS 2011. There's also the informative profile on Jean Francois Fountaine, head of FIN and co-founder of Fountaine Pajot, the world's largest producer of cruising catamarans.
There is a story on the launch of the 2001 Visit Indonesia Fremantle to Bali race, which organisers say will herald the the start of a new era of ‘big boat' ocean racing in Western Australia.
As well as a wrap up of METS, AIMEX announces its major initiative for 2011 - a media blitz for members bringing international journos downunder to immerse themselves in Aussie marine businesses. Australian-based marine media will be invovled as well, so we will cover the outcomes and impressions of AIMEX members come February.
(Just an aside, if I may: MarineBusiness-World.com and its sister-sites Powerboat-World.com and Sail-World.com are the behemoths in marine media globally - attracting many thousands and in some cases hundreds of thousands more readers than even the most well known in the US and UK.
We had more than 1.2 MILLION individual boaters visit our sites this year. Beyond its consumer audience, our event and news coverage goes to over 900 different media groups including more than 220 international boating websites.
Makes us proud that the largest marine media network in the world is AUSTRALIAN.)
Then there are a few quirky stories, including some interesting observations about women consumers, from the vantage point of 'stink-free' undies! Hope you are more intrigued than repulsed.
Have a great week!
