Its cold and wet again down south, so a lucky few of the Sail-World.com is heading north, spending two weeks on the Sunshine Coast.

A busy weekend in Mooloolaba, with the largest ever fleet for the Sail Mooloolaba putting a large fleet on the water. This used to be the '30 foot regatta', often with a lot of boats, but the event is growing very rapidly.

On Sunday Jessica Watson will be doing a Parade of Honour and the entrance to the Mooloolah River will be closed at times just to control the spectator fleet.

Sail-World will covering the Musto Etchells Australasian Winter titles next weekend, the June Long Weekend.

Sailing Around Australia - 200 miles from the bottom mark

It is day 30 into SOS Ocean Racing's effort to break the WSSRC record for sailing non-stop solo around Australia. Skipper Ian Thomson is currently located in the Southern Ocean and is 200 nautical miles away from the bottom of Tasmania. Yesterday winds where stead for Ian, gusting around 10 knots.
