Can you imagine what a Gold Coast 16 metre berth will cost in 2030?

PAY ATTENTION NOW!! You are absolutely crazy if you don't enter the ‘Win a Lifetime of Free Berthing competition on Sail-World today. The Prize is valued at over AUD$300,000 and it only runs to the end of Sanctuary Cove Boat Show in 10 days time!!.

The prize is, at maximum, a 16m berth at any of Meridien Marinas locations including Abel Point Marina at Airlie Beach, Port Douglas and the Gold Coast, for a term of up to 25 years.

A berth at Meridien Marinas Airlie Beach wont be much cheaper than the Gold Coast either in 2030

Can you imagine what a Gold Coast 16 metre berth will cost in 2030 and don't imagine Airlie Beach or Port Douglas will be much cheaper

With airfares ever reducing, you don't have to live in Queensland or even own or part-own a boat yet, but certainly one big step towards the cost of a boat will disappear if you are the winner!! You can imagine if you do win it, you are going to be popular with mates, who will no doubt want you to join their syndicate.

Think about it!!! But of course you have to enter to win!!

Ian Thomson's Save Our Seas yacht is on record pace in his attempt on the WSSRC solo Australian circumnavigation record.

It's now eight days since Ian left Airlie Beach. If he is able to maintain his current speed he will break the record easily. With seven days down and 1,455nm into the record, Ian is already over 700nm in front of the record pace for the 6,545nm course.

Ian keen for sailors everywhere to go to his site www.sosoceanracing.com and vote on what you think should be done about plastic bags.

Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show starts tomorrow week. Last year an East Coast low pounded the Gold Coast and the start of the show was put back a day. Seems like the weather will be better this year.

Jessica Watson will sail into Sydney Harbour this Saturday, definitely a major event on the yacht calendar. Hope the weather continues to be fine for her as she approached the finish line. There will no doubt be a record crowd to greet the sixteen year old when she sails down the harbour.
