Powerboat fans........front and centre!

We're here to deliver another edition of Powerboat-World with all the news worth knowing.

114 Water skis and a ferry set new world record

114 water skiers and a ferry have set a new world recod in Tasmania. Look at the video too.

The Marina Association of Australia has rolled out its new Gold Anchor ratings for marinas. -its definitely a valuable guide for boaters. You need to check out the details on this.

If you're a keen angler, you'll be pleased to learn that down in the state of Victoria the fees collected by the government for fishing licences is actually going where it can do some good; in fact, some $1.14 million is to be spent on a range of projects aimed at improving recreational fishing.

For quick boat fans, Taree is the place to be this Easter for the staging of the Taree Aquatic Club's Easter Classic.

Taree, on the mid north coast of NSW, has long been a power boating haven; the Taree Aquatic Club boasts a history dating back 60-years.

On the picturesque waterways of Port Stephens, about 90 minutes (by road) north of Sydney, celebrations are in order at the Soldiers Point Marina. It was last week awarded the prestigious Five Gold Anchors (the highest rating) award by the Marina Industries Association of Australia simply for being an absolutely first class facility.

While we're in the Port Stephens area, Newcastle, capital city of the Hunter region and only a skip and hop from Port Stephens, is set to welcome the Offshore Superboat Championships for the opening round of the 2010 titles.

And with the four-day Easter break upon us, NSW Maritime has revealed its top three Easter boating safety tips.

We have news from the boat show circuit too.

Like I said, it's all here on Powerboat-World.

What's more I kept my promise – I did not try to catch anyone with an April Fool's joke

Read on and enjoy, we're here to make that an easy task.
