BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival   Todd VanSickle - 2009 BVI Sailing Festival

In Palma, Mallorca, not too far away from where the America's Cup was sailed six weeks ago, the third leg of the ISAF World Cup is underway.

In the 470 class, USA's Stuart Mcnay and Graham Biel lead the way in the Mens 470, heading up a 93 strong fleet split into two divisions. We have reports and images in this edition from the first two day's racing.

Don't miss the second part of our chat a couple of weeks ago with Noel Drennan, trimmer aboard BMW Oracle's USA-17, where he discusses some key parts of the racing and elaborates further on trimming the wingsail, use of power winches instead of grinders - and much more.
