Cup records for Sail-world.com, Queens Wharf reports, future forecast

Did you follow the action and controversy of the 33rd America's Cup, held in the scenic wonderland of Valencia, Spain? Thanks to the dedication of the Sail-world.com team, in particular Richard Gladwell, record numbers of readers availed themselves of the up to the minute action, observations and interviews of this international event, which boasts the oldest trophy in international sport, predating the Modern Olympics by 45 years.

Big news is that the event is “coming home” to the US. The San Francisco-based Golden Gate Yacht Club is home to Larry Ellison's BMW Oracle team, which won the Cup by sailing its trimaran to its second consecutive victory over two-time defending champion Alinghi of Switzerland on Sunday. Club Nautico di Roma is the challenger of record for the 34th America's Cup.
