Welcome to Sail-World.Com's New Zealand newsletter for 4 February 2010.

With just a few sleeps left until the start of the 33rd America's Cup, Sail-World is pleased to be able to announce our coverage of this historic event - the likes of which we will probably never see again in our lifetimes.

Your humble scribe is on the plane for Valencia, and we hope to be up and running on Sunday (local time), Sunday evening (NZT). Our America's Cup newsletter will go to 85,000 subscribers around the world.

Sorry we do not know what the TV coverage plans are for NZ or anywhere else, save that we understand that USA will be receiving it via ESPN360, and you can try watch it live via www.americascup.com we are led to believe.

On other news, the 2010 OK Interdominions and National Championships have concluded in Wellington, we have have full reports from each day, plus excellent images galleries each day from Adrian Rumney.

Singapore Airlines Sail Auckland got underway today off the Kohimaramara Yacht Club, and we have a report and image from the first day's racing.

Challenger has a good day in America's Cup Jury Room

Other significant issues have been ruled on by the International Jury for the 33rd America's Cup in Valencia Both have gone as expected and are consistent with rulings from the New York Supreme Court on related matters, Justice Shirley Kornreich previously ruled that the America's Cup was a test of sailing technology as well as sailing skill itself.... America's Cup Jury rules that there will be no wind limits for Match

In a decision just announced the five strong International Jury has ruled that the wind limits written into the Notice of Race for the 33rd America's Cup are illegal, and will not apply for the match which starts in five day's time on Monday 8 February.
