Welcome to Sail-World.Com's US newsletter for 1 February 2010.

The America's Cup looks set to happen on 8 February, just under a week away, with the last Court obstacle cleared, or rather deferred until a later date. Sorry, to those who have asked, we have absolutely no idea of the TV broadcast schedules or the stations who may be carrying the coverage.

The only Rules issue on the table is the five matters raised by BMW Oracle racing, which was the the subject of an International Jury hearing yesterday week. In this edition we look at the likely outcomes from the Hearing. It has been adjourned with a Decision due tomorrow, which will be carried on www.sail-world.com

Sail-World will announce our coverage of the 33rd America's Cup on Tuesday evening. However your humble scribe will be traveling to Valencia this weekend, and we will be producing a special America's Cup newsletter, from Valencia, similar to that for the 32nd America's Cup, Louis Vuitton Pacific Series and 2008 Olympics plus, of course the annual Rolex Sydney Hobart Race.

From Florida, the Rolex Miami Olympic Classes Regatta has concluded. In this edition, we feature reports, sailor comment and images from the second event on the 2010 ISAF World Cup circuit.

Miami OCR - Intense day of racing pays off for Team Tunnicliffe Anna Tunnicliffe, An intense day of racing for Team Tunnicliffe at the Miami OCR. It was a great series against Lucy MacGregor and team, from Great Britain. The conditions were perfect for match racing this morning as the first warning gun went off at 9am. Superyacht Cup Antigua - Windy day decides winner Kate Branagh, Superyacht Cup Antigua - It was another windy day with plenty of action for these immensely powerful superyachts, flying full mains and maximum downwind sails, they raced around the 24 mile course in just two and a half hours.... 2010 Rolex Miami OCR: Focus on the Finn class medal race Robert Deaves, Fourth place in the medal race was easily enough for Ed Wright (GBR) to win the Rolex Miami OCR in the Finn class for the second year running, this time by a clear margin of 20 points. The 2009 ISAF Sailing World Cup winner, made very few mistakes all week in quite difficult conditions and takes a well deserved win and a great confidence boost at the start of the season.... Miami OCR day five - Hard won semis Anna Tunnicliffe, Today was a full day of racing against the Aussies to advance to the Finals at the 2010 Rolex Miami OCR. It felt like a long day of racing despite only sailing six races. Every race was very close, thanks to the shifty and puffy winds.
