AIMEX calendar, Cruise industry report, shows show promise of recovery
Boat shows are the order of the week this issue - from the main events to the small regional gatherings, which each year expand and attract more interest from exhibitors, the public and sponsors.
Along with covering the plans for 2010 of the Australian International Marine Export group, AIMEX - taking Aussie brands and companies to Dubai, Amsterdam, Kentucky and Shanghai - we feature a review of PIMEX, Phuket's resident boat show that after six years is establishing itself as a major Asian fixture.
In Melbourne, the Melbourne International Boating and Lifestyle Festival will take over Docklands in February with an array of family-friendly events, activities and entertainment, all aiming to bring the crowds to the boats. Then there's a novel approach to wooing the crowds at US boat shows - a waterskiing squirrel called Twiggy that apparently is quite a crowd pleaser wherever he shows up.
There's ample info on new products, a host of competitions offering really useful prizes and commentary from people in the know that will impact on your business.
Keep your news and opinions flowing and have a great week!
