Our competition to win a ‘5th Man' slot on an Extreme 40 racing in Hong Kong or Singapore is still open – have you entered? Interestingly, among our entrants so far are Olympic Tornado sailors Darren Bundock and Carolijn Brouwer – so that should tell you something about how much fun a ride on an Extreme 40 can be!

Pics here of the new wing ‘mast' rolled out for BMW Oracle at Anacortes. WOW! You really can't call this a mast – it's just a straight out wing standing on end. Takes your breath away – go look.

There's plenty of Asia-region news at the top of the heap – SIBEX and PIMEX, 22' dhows in Dubai, the ISAF Conference in Busan, match racing in Busan, and the build-up to Monsoon Cup. Check it out.

Then move onto the start of the Louis Vuitton Trophy series in Nice, the TJV taking off across the Atlantic, Groupama hitting marginally subsonic speeds in their new Jules Verne attempt, and all the latest shenanigans from the AC soap opera.

You'd rather be reading this stuff than answering all those Monday emails, wouldn't you? So go, go, go...
